If you know the bakery, you know Ken is the driving force behind the soup, pastry, and most of our unique offerings. He insists on making soup the real way - making stock every few days with chicken backs, beef bones, or ham hocks, as well as carrots, onions, garlic, celery and so on, often from local farmers. His ready wit, deep compassion, and zest for the new, the cutting edge, and the timeless have made him a mentor to many young aspiring chefs. Many of these have gone on to own their own restaurants and see great success. As an owner of the bakery, Ken has made his mark as the one with the strongest work ethic and purest motivation. He loves to work and often will come in on his day off to try something new or just help out. We love you Ken and cherish every moment. Happy birthday!
